Assistance (24-hr reception)
Reception is staffed 24 hours. From 11pm to 7am the Night Porter will cover reception to deal with any enquiries. Should you require assistance please dial ‘0’.
The Royal Oak Bar, located on the ground floor at the front of the hotel, provides the widest variety of beverages including speciality drinks and cocktails.
Breakfast is served in the main restaurant which is also located on the ground floor close to reception. We serve from 7.00am to 9.30am, Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 10.00am on Saturday and Sunday.
Our car park is situated to the rear of the hotel and can be found by using the postcode SY217DD, however has limited availability. Public car parking is plentiful and a short walk away.
Checkout time is 11.00am. A late checkout maybe available by prior arrangement by contacting our Reception team.

Our disabled facility toilet is located through the restaurant on the ground floor.
Doctor, Dentist and Chemist
Should you require medical assistance, please inform Reception who will call for assistance on your behalf. The nearest minor injury unit is at Welshpool Hospital just 0.3 miles away. The nearest chemist, Rowlands Pharmacy, 01938 552204 can be found on Church Street. For more information please dial ‘0’ to speak to Reception.
Dial ‘999’ for the police, fire brigade or an ambulance. Please also call Reception on ‘0’ to report the incident and for further assistance.
It is imperative that guests read the Fire Notice on the back of the bedroom door and familiarise themselves with the fire evacuation procedure and fire exits.
If you wish to send flowers or have them delivered to your room, we would be happy to arrange this for you with our local florist. Please contact reception by dialling ‘0’ with your requirements and they will do their best to accommodate you.
Heating and Cooling
The heating in the room may be adjusted using the thermostat dial on the side of the radiator during the winter months. A limited number of fans are also available – please speak to reception to check availability.
The Flash Leisure Centre has swimming pool, gym as well as other fitness facilities. For more information telephone on 01938 555952. Great Escape which is located a minutes walk from the hotel offers a gym and beauty treatments, for more details and appointments please call 01938 559007.
Please ask reception for help with luggage or luggage storage at any time, 24-hours a day. Luggage may be stored in the hotel up to six hours after vacating your room without charge.
Should you find anything not in working order, please report it to Reception and we will endeavour to repair it as quickly as possible.
Please be aware that the whole hotel, including all bedrooms, is non-smoking. The courtyard has designated areas for smoking. If guests are found to have smoked inside bedrooms, a minimum charge of £120.00 will be made to cover further cleaning and freshening of the room. Each room is fitted with a smoke detector which is extremely sensitive and will evacuate the whole hotel if triggered. Activation will incur further charges to the guests account.
The hotel has a number of rooms designated for pets. Unfortunately, for the comfort of other guests, dogs (except guidedogs) are not allowed in the main Eatery, but alternative dining areas are available and the team will be happy to assist with this.
Postage to most destinations can be arranged via Reception. All post is sent daily.
There are several dining areas throughout the hotel, with the same menu available in each. Our main Eatery is located near to reception. Our menu is served between noon and 9:00pm. You can also dine in our bar area. Please speak to reception to reserve a table.
Please ensure that your bedroom windows and doors are closed when you leave the room. We would like to draw your attention to the Hotel Proprietors Act displayed in the Reception area and regret to inform you that the hotel cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage to any guest’s property not handed in for safekeeping.

Each of our rooms are equipped with a flat screen Freeview TV. Simply press the power button to turn it on and press guide to access the latest listings.
A limited supply of common items are available from reception 24 hours a day.
The UK uses a 240v supply with three pin plugs. Please ask Reception if you require an adapter. This usually requires a £5 deposit which is refunded when the adaptor is returned.
